Argentine Mesopotamia - 10 Days

Day 01:

Buenos Aires.Arrival, reception and transfer with local guide to the hotel. At the time scheduled with the guide, half day City tour through Buenos Aires. You will visit Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Cabildo. Then you will arrive at La Boca neighbourhood to walk around Caminito Street and see how the first immigrants who arrived in Buenos Aires used to live. Overnight.

Day 02:

Buenos Aires - Cataratas del Iguazú: Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cataratas del Iguazú. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. The falls are the widest and most imposing water falls on Earth. Their name in the native tongue, guaraní, means Big Waters and this is, undoubtedly, the perfect name for them. The Falls are the widest and most imposing water falls on Earth. At the border conjunctions of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, the spectacular falls can be reached from the two main towns on either side of the falls: Foz do Iguaçu in the Brazilian state of Paraná and Puerto Iguazú in the Argentine province of Misiones as well from Ciudad del Este in Paraguay on the other side of the Paraná river With 3 kilometers and 275 falls, Iguazú Falls are shares by Iguazú National Park (Argentina) and Iguaçu National Park (Brazil). These parks were designated Unesco World Heritage Sites in 1984 and in 1986 respectively. Overnight.

Day 03:

Cataratas del Iguazú. Breakfast. Half day excursion to the Brazilian side of Iguazú Falls, to enjoy a panoramic view of the fall during a walking tour through the passages that connect the different observation points. On the Brazilian side there is a long wooden walkway along the canyon with an extension to the lower base of the Devil´s Throat (Garganta del Diablo). Overnight.

Day 04:

Cataratas del Iguazú. Breakfast. Full day excursion to the Argentinean side of the falls. The Argentinean is facilitated by the Rainforest Ecological Train (Tren Ecológico de la Selva), witch brings visitors to different walkways. The Paseo Garganta del Diablo, is a one kilometre long way to bring the visitor directly over the falls of the ¨Garganta del Diablo¨. Optional tour: ¨The Great Adventure¨, navigation on a zodiac in the Superior Iguazú River. Overnight.

Day 05:

Cataratas del Iguazú - Posadas. Breakfast. Full day excursion visiting the Jesuit San Ignacio Mini ruins and Wanda Mine. At the end of the visit, transfer to a typical Mesopotamian ranch with full board and many activities available. Overnight.

Day 06:

Posadas - Iberá Marshes. Breakfast. Transfer in 4 x 4 to Iberá Marshes, one of the most important water reservoirs in the continent. Iberá Wetlands are the second – largest wetlands in world after Pantanal in Brazil. They are located in the center and center – north of the province or Corrientes, Argentina. The Esteros are a mix of swamps, bogs, stagnant lakes, lagoons, natural slough and courses of water of pluvial origin, with a total area of between 15.000 and 20.000Km2. Since 1982, the wetlands are part of a protected area wich comprises 13.000Km2, and is the Iberá Natural Reserve. The Natural Iberá Reserve, home of a significant variety of fauna, is a natural paradise unique in its type. It shelters the four animal species called the Province´s natural monuments that are: the river wolf, the ¨aguará guazú¨, the pampas deer and the marsh deer. Its ornithological wealth includes 250 different birds’ species. The Iberá lagoon is the epicentre of the reserve in wich wild fauna-watching is beyond comparison. The Iberá Reserve is currently one of the most important wild life havens in the world. Full board. Overnight.

Day 07:

Iberá Marshes. Activities in the reserve: short trekking in the forest, outgoing in motor boats, canoeing excursions with local guide, guided walking through the long interpretation paths in the Gallery Forest, guided trekking, swimming pool, kayak, mountain bikes. Full board. Overnight.

Day 08:

Iberá Marshes - Buenos Aires. Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to Mercedes, to take the bus to Buenos Aires. Night on board.

Day 09:

Buenos Aires.In the morning, arrival in Buenos Aires, and transfer to the hotel. Day at leisure. Optional excursion: Delta del Tigre. Sailing in a modern boat along the different arms of this delta, to discover Paraná River and thousands of islands all around.

Day 10:

Buenos Aires – Europe. Breakfast. At the time scheduled, transfer to the airport to take the flight back.
