The Skorpios III’s Kaweskar Route, explores the Southern Ice Field, located in the southern Patagonia. This journey takes its name to honor the Kaweskar natives who lived in this area.

Overview

Departs Puerto Natales every Tuesday and Friday October 2017 to April 2018.

The Itinerary is the same for both weekly departures.


Day 1 Puerto Natales, Patagonic Channels.
Day 2 Amalia Glaciers, El Brujo, Fernando, Alipio & Calvo and de Las Montañas Fjords. During the morning, we will arrive at Amalia Glacier, to which we will get as closer as much as possible.
Day 3 Bernal, Herman, Alsina and Paredes Glaciers.
Day 4 Skorpios Terminal in Punta Natales.

Itineraty Details

Day 1 Embark Puerto Natales

At 4 PM, passenger reception at the Puerto Natales terminal.  

Sailing through Angostura Kirke, Morla, Vicuña, Unión, Collingwood and Sarmiento channels. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner on board

Day 2 Amalia Glacier – El Brujo Glacier - Calvo Fjord

Vist Amalia Glacier. The vessel approaches the Glacier. Disembarkation on a nearby beach, soft hiking, arriving to a viewpoint where we can appreciate this beautiful glacier. The cruise continue to El Brujo Glacier (Weather and ice permitting, passengers can disembark and contemplate this glacier from a nearby rock)

At lunchtime set sail for Calvo Fjord and enjoy excursions by motorboat (weather permitting) to Fernando, Capitan Constantino and Alipio Glaciers. Cruise to Montanas Fjord this evening. 

Day 3 Montanas Fjord – Alsina Glacier – Bernal Glacier

This morning you visit the Montanas Fjord from where you can see four glaciers that slide down the Sarmiento Mountains to the sea. Enjoy soft hiking to the base of Bernal Glacier and a visit to Herman Glacier where you sail in its bay and admire the surrounding beauty and multi-coloured icebergs (depending on tide). Continue to visit the Alsina and Paredes Glaciers before setting sail from Montanas Fjord, Kirke Narrowness crossing. Tonight you enjoy a farewell party at the Captain's dinner dance. 

Day 4 Disembark Puerto Natales

Arrive at approximately 8.00am at the Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales where you disembark your cruise.
