Somuncurá plateau, the world of the wind.

A colossal basalt island isolated from everything, which emerges on the environment of the steppe that surrounds it. With an area almost equivalent to Belgium but with less than 1000 inhabitants, Somuncurá is a virgin, beautiful, extensive, unique and magical place.

It infinite plain, the monotony of the landscape, the wind, the isolation and the feeling of solitude, have made it an exotic destination for only a handful of privileged people.

Endless and rugged, the last stronghold of virgin Patagonia, the Somuncurá plateau is an immense basalt plateau still almost unexplored, with countless uncontaminated places that allow its visitors to live a personal experience in intimate contact with nature, staying in ranches and enjoying the hospitality services and local gastronomy.

There is just a bucolic town, lost in the immensity of the Somuncurá Plateau, which does not exceed 200 inhabitants. There are no hotels, no restaurants, no gas station, not even electricity.

Yes there are hospitable people, who enjoy welcoming the traveler and who offer him a warm bed and a Patagonian lamb for dinner.
