Itineraty Details

Day 1: BUENOS AIRES

Arrive to Buenos Aires.
Buenos Aires, cosmopolitan and elegant capital of Argentina, with a population of 12 million inhabitants, it is usually mentioned as the Paris of South America.

Transfer to the hotel and Buenos Aires sightseeing tour.
A different and original approach to discover the city’s most beautiful places, bars and avenues, to live its cultural life and to see its rich history come alive. A tour covering the outstanding points of interest: '9 de Julio´ Avenue, Colón Theatre (Opera House), San Telmo neighborhood, birthplace of the city, May Square, historical and political centre, La Boca district, famous for 'Caminito' street, May Avenue, Recoleta district, known for its Cemetery and Palermo, wide and beautiful park located in the heart of one of the most elegant areas in the city.

Day 2: BUENOS AIRES

Day at leisure.

Optional suggested: Full day Gaucho Party tour at the country side or half day Tigre & Paraná delta.

In the evening, Dinner and Tango show
Buenos Aires is the birthplace of Tango, born in the brothels of the city, just before the beginning of the 1880s. Tango is not only a dance but also an obsession. Erotic and passionate, haunting and melancholic, it involves not only the body but also the soul. The Tango has captured the popular imagination for over one hundred years to become no less than an international cult.
A 3 course dinner with selected Argentine wines and an excellent beef while enjoying an impressive musical show where the main character is Tango.

Day 3: BUENOS AIRES – PUERTO MADRYN

Transfer out to the airport to take the flight to Trelew city.

Arrival at Trelew airport. From the airport, excursion to the Penguin colony of Punta Tombo(*) (September to April):
Punta Tombo is one of the most famous and widely visited sites in Argentina. Thousands of tourists gather there to be amazed at one of the most fascinating shows performed by nature: the Magellan penguin continental colony, where about two million Magellan penguins gather there from September to April in order to nest, mate, incubate their eggs and feed their offspring, presenting a show unique on the continent.
Transfer to the hotel in Puerto Madryn city, base of this spectacular region for wildlife.
Overnight at the selected hotel.

(*)This tour will combine with your transfer in, so you should arrival al Trelew airport before 9 AM.

Day 4: PENINSULA DE VALDÉS

Full day excursion to Valdés Peninsula, declared Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO.
On the way we will admire the external coast of the peninsula and have good chances of coming across wild land-fauna. We will visit elephant seals (all year round) & sea lions colonies (late December to late January to late April).
On our way back we will stop at Puerto Pirámides, the only inhabited village inside Peninsula Valdés and a Natural Port. Full of history, this little village has got a unique landscape: its pyramid-looking cliffs.
Optional: Whales watching sailing in Puerto Pirámides (not included).
Overnight.

Day 5: PUERTO MADRYN - EL CALAFATE

Transfer out to the airport to take the flight to El Calafate.
El Calafate is located in the Patagonian steppe, on the border of Argentino Lake. It is the hub to visit different parts of Los Glaciares National Park.
Reception and transfer to the selected hotel.Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight.

Day 6: EL CALAFATE

Full day tour to the World Heritage Site of Perito Moreno Glacier.
The majesty of nature at its best. Seeing it, almost within touching distance, is one of nature’s most incredible experiences.
This wonderful scenic area, Perito Moreno Glacier and Argentino Lake, is one of world's most scenic areas, declared “Universal Heritage” by the UNESCO. In front of the glacier, there are a system of balconies and footbridges that allow you to enjoy walks along different paths and to have really amazing views. Sometimes the deep silence is suddenly interrupted by the tremendous noise of huge pieces of ice that crack from the glacier and fall into the lake to float on the Canal de los Témpanos (Icebergs Channel).

Day 7: EL CALAFATE

Day at leisure.

Optional: Full day navigation to Upsala(barrier of ice floes) and Spegazzini glaciers.
Overnight.

Day 8: EL CALAFATE – USHUAIA

Transfer out to the airport to take the flight to Ushuaia.
At the very end of the world and at the Southern end of Patagonia lies its last remaining wilderness, the island of Tierra del Fuego. Below the mighty Darwin Range, the city of Ushuaia looks out over the green Beagle Channel.
Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel.

Day 9: USHUAIA

In the morning, Half day Tierra del Fuego National Park
The National Park, is a reserved area to protect the Subantartic Forest and its native flora and fauna. From this spot we will be able to take a glimpse of both Redonda and Estorbo Islands. Through a path surrounded by Lenga forests and peats, we will reach Lake Roca, a glacier lake framed by mountains and forests. Finally we reach Lapataia Bay, where we will find traces of the ancient native settlers that used to live in the region. We will have some time to walk through the footbridge, from which we will be able to take photographs and enjoy the feeling of being at the end of the world.

Optional in the afternoon, board a Catamaran for an unforgettable trip on the Beagle Channel to see sea lions and Cormorant’s Island.
Overnight.

Day 10: USHUAIA - BUENOS AIRES

Transfer out to the airport to take the flight back to Buenos Aires.
Overnight.

Day 11: BUENOS AIRES

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or continue with extensions.

Optional Tours

Buenos Aires: Full day Gaucho Party

Tour in the country side. Arrive to an “Estancia” (Ranch) for a “Gaucho” (cowboy) experience. Barbecue, wine, popular singing and dancing show, will give visitors an idea about the Gaucho daily life, horse races, etc.


Buenos Aires: Half day Tigre & Paraná delta.

It may be hard to believe that a few minutes away from the chaos of the city, Nature and silence seem to have defeated the piles of concrete and the frenzy of urban life. This visit to Tigre, the gateway to the astonishing Paraná River Delta, will allow us toboard a catamaran boat to discover thousands of islands and islets crisscrossed by rivers and brooks.


Península de Valdés: Whales watching at “Puerto Pirámides”(June to December)

Boat trip the Right Whalesin order to observe the southern right whales. These wonderful and imposing animals come close to the peninsula to bear their calves. This is a unique experience. These colossal creatures may approach men to play with them, show off their pirouettes or just out of curiosity.


Península de Valdés: Submarine watching at Yellow submarine

This unique Puerto Madryn Whale Watching Tour takes place on a semi-submersible boat that provides you with the opportunity to watch the whales underwater. On board the Yellow Submarine, passengers can move freely and watch the whales surface from the upper deck, as in normal in most whale watching trips, and from the submarine cabin, where you can experience the whales as if you were diving with them. At this level underwater, there are 40 windows, each with its own seat, for your viewing pleasure.


Península de Valdés: Whale watching from the coast (June to September)

El Doradillo Area is visited every season by a group of whales and their calves. They get very close to the beach due to the stillness of its waters and the unusual depth of the coast, thus allowing the visitor to do the whale- watching from the coast, with great chances of finding animals at 15 / 20 meters. Estimated Duration: 2 hours.


Ushuaia: Sea lions and Cormorant’s Island.

Navigation through the mythical Beagle Channel. From the ship, we will be able to enjoy wonderful scenery: the sight of sea lions specimens, the Bird Island, habitat of the Magaellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and also a privileged area to spot specimens of the marine fauna. Then we sail towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse.


Calafate: Full day navigation to the barrier of ice floes and other glaciers.

Sail among icebergs on a clear water lake. Early morning departure to Punta Bandera where the northern and southern arms of the Argentine Lake join.The tour goes through the Spegazzini and the Upsala glaciers, entering the bays that they form and also includes sailing in the cord of icebergs located about 20 km from the Upsala glacier.
