One of the most interesting routes that could be explored driving out of Buenos Aires city would be to travel in what it is known as the dominion of the Gaucho: the famous Pampas of Argentina with its vast and endless sea of green pastures.
The true extension of this mythical land it is so great that sometimes it would be difficult to grasp or understand during a short trip, so it needs to be lived and experienced.

2 pm. Departure from Buenos Aires city towards the small town of Lujan situated at about 60 km from the Capital city. This town is renowned for its magnificent Neo Gothic Basilica which was visited by Pope John Paul II and where Pope Francisco, before Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, at the end of the pilgrimages has blessed the devotees.
From this point the tour continues to the interior of the Pampas for 130 km further and finds the most important dairy industry area in the Country, originated by Irish and Basque producers, it is known today as the “Cheese Route”.
In between the dairy establishments found in this zone, it is worth to notice the presence of a producer of an exotic product: a wild boar breeding farm! The visitors will tour the installations and during the evening could enjoy a boar dish. Accommodation with breakfast included in a quaint Country lodge.
Early in the morning the guests will become cheese makers for one day!
and participate in the production of cheese in one of the area establishments.
A bit later the tour will carry on towards the Heart of the Pampas with its vast Estancias and the real agricultural productive engine of Argentina where one can find the most advanced agro technology in the world.
Lunch will be provided at a rural family household.
After lunch the tour will continue deep into the Pampas and towards sunset the visitors will arrive at the city of Villa Mercedes in the Province of San Luis which at 700 km from Buenos Aires marks the limit of the Pampas and the beginning of the Sierras (range of hills before the Andes).
Accommodation with dinner included.
The Tour will progress through a different landscape, somewhat drier and serene beautiful Sierras with indigenous heritage sites of diverse cultures which some of them were present in this area even before the Inca.
Lunch will be served in an old village which was the center of gold digging of during the Spanish conquest. If there is enough time available, the travelers will visit an old abandoned gold mine in that area.
Later in the afternoon the guests will arrive farm at the foot of the majestic Sierras. Here they will be received by the hosts who will do their best to make them feel “at home” and share with them their experience of a pleasant life by the Country side.
The visitors will spend two days here so they will be able to enjoy a walk through the pristine surroundings, horse riding or even participate in the daily chores of goat farming with the local workers. The meals are healthy, fresh and homemade.
After breakfast, the tour will continue towards the Andes. On the way the visitors will pass through the cities of La Punta and San Luis.
Box lunch is included. Arrival during the afternoon at the city of Mendoza at the foot of the majestic Andes. City tour of Mendoza.
Accommodation at Cellar´s farm house or selected Hotel.
This Tour could be combined with a stay in Mendoza in order to visit the Wineries.
Mendoza is also the perfect base to start the crossing of the imposing Andean Range in a high impact trip. There are modern routes that connect Argentina with Chile surrounded by spectacular landscapes, so let yourself be driven towards Chile and take a return flight to their Country from Santiago de Chile.
